Tampa, Fla., October, 1, 2009 - Join the American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) for the next AAKP HealthLine conference call. The call, titled Anemia: Signs, Symptoms and Treatment Options, will cover the definition of anemia and the signs and symptoms of anemia as it relates to chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. Participants will also learn about lab tests used to diagnose anemia and the available treatment options for anemia. The discussion will be lead by nephrologist Russell Silverstein, MD, FACP, FASN of Dallas, Texas.
