AAKP Introduces Nutrition Magazine

Tampa, Fla., July 11, 2007 – The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) is pleased to announce the development of its new nutrition and lifestyle magazine, aakpDelicious!. aakpDelicious!, an AAKP membership benefit, focuses on the important issues related to proper nutrition for kidney patients of all stages, including diet, exercise and mineral intake. aakpDelicious! will be unveiled at the Association’s 34th Annual Convention in St. Louis, MO, taking place Aug. 30 – Sept. 2.

An estimated 20 million people have kidney disease and the majority of those individuals have very different, very specific dietary needs. aakpDelicious! provides practical information for chronic kidney disease (CKD), dialysis and transplant patients to better achieve proper health.

"aakpDelicious! will be the only nationwide magazine devoted to nutrition and healthy living for kidney patients," states AAKP Executive Director/CEO Kris Robinson. "A kidney friendly diet may be difficult and confusing to follow. aakpDelicious! gives patients diet information and tips in the hopes of simplifying renal nutrition."
