Tampa, Fla., December 6, 2007 - The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) is pleased to announce its inaugural AAKP HealthLine conference call is now available online. AAKP HealthLine is one of many educational programs provided by AAKP to help kidney patients and their loved ones learn about kidney disease and its effects on the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Nearly 200 people participated in the first AAKP HealthLine conference call, which took place Nov. 15, 2007. The topic of the call: Kidney Beginnings: A Patient’s Guide to Living with Reduced Kidney Function, included speakers Stephen Fadem, MD, FACP, FASN and Mansi Mehta, RD, LDN.
