AAKP Accepting Nominations for 2008 Medal of Excellence Award

Tampa, Fla., October 8, 2007 - The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) is accepting nominations for its 13th Annual Medal of Excellence Award. The AAKP Medal of Excellence Award is given to a physician who has dedicated his or her career to the advancement of kidney patients through education and patient advocacy.

The recipient is honored during the AAKP Annual Medal of Excellence Award Dinner on March 16, 2008 in Austin, TX. The award ceremony is held in conjunction with the Renal Physicians Association’s Annual Meeting. The award is given to an outstanding physician whose work has led or will lead directly to the improvement of kidney patients. The recipient’s commitment to patient education and their success as a role model and as a mentor is noted.

If you know a physician who has shown extraordinary dedication and service to the renal community, please consider nominating him or her for the AAKP Medal of Excellence Award. AAKP is the voluntary, patient organization, which for more than 35 years, has been dedicated to improving the lives of fellow kidney patients and their families by helping them deal with the physical, emotional and social impact of kidney disease.
