TAMPA, Fla. Nov. 9, 2006 -- ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’ for the American Association of Kidney Patients Annual Convention. Today the Association announced it will hold its 34th Annual Convention at the Adam’s Mark Hotel St. Louis Aug. 30 – Sept. 2, 2007. AAKP’s Annual Convention is a unique opportunity for kidney disease patients, as well as their friends and family members, to interact with fellow kidney patients and caregivers to discuss their concerns and share their experiences while learning about important issues affecting their healthcare. During the four day event, attendees participate in exciting social events and educational discussions on such topics as chronic kidney disease (CKD), dialysis treatment options and transplantation. It is the largest national convention where kidney patients can interact on person-to-person basis with fellow patients and healthcare professionals. “Each year more and more people are joining us for our National Convention,” says AAKP Executive Director & CEO Kris Robinson. “St. Louis is a vibrant and welcoming place and we know our attendees will have an incredible time.” For more information about the 2007 AAKP Annual Convention log on to www.aakp.org or call the National Office at (800) 749-2257.
