Tampa, Fla., November 2, 2006 – Today the American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) announced professional membership fees will increase to $45 per year starting Jan. 1, 2007. Professional membership is available to a wide variety of renal professionals, including nurses, dietitians and social workers. Membership allows professionals to experience all the tangible benefits of membership as well as the opportunity to network with professionals, patients and family members during AAKP’s well-renowned Annual Convention. You can still join or renew your membership at the current fee of $35 per year for an unlimited number of years before Jan. 1, 2007. Benefits of being a member of AAKP include a subscription to AAKP magazines, aakpRENALIFE and Kidney Beginnings: The Magazine. As a member, you will also have access to local AAKP Chapters in your community, as well as a special invitation to the AAKP Annual Convention, a four day event featuring educational seminars and social events specifically designed for kidney patients and their families and renal professionals.
