Build a Local Network:

• Post meeting information at doctors' offices, churches and community centers.
• Write a brief public service announcement and send it to local TV and radio stations.
• Approach local businesses about getting ads in their periodicals or newsletters.
• Inform local information centers and referral hotlines about your group.
• Contact your local hospital, social services department and community health department.
• Create a speaker's bureau to recruit presenters for your meetings.

When creating a flyer, remember to keep it simple. Include your group's name, purpose, meeting place and starting and ending time.
