While frozen meals are convenient for many people, chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients must be aware these "TV dinners" are often high in sodium, potassium and phosphorus. A recent article in the Journal of Renal Nutrition researched several popular frozen meals manufacturers and found many could be suitable for kidney patients.
Here are some meals that CKD patients may enjoy:
- Amy's Organic Thai Stir Fry
- Kashi Black Bean Mango
- Lean Cuisine Alfredo Pasta with Chicken and Broccoli
- Organic Bistro Ginger Chicken
- Organic Bistro Spiced Chicken Morocco
