Research from Johns Hopkins University found Vitamin D may help prevent kidney disease, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The researchers also found vitamin D deficiency increases your risk of death by 26 percent.
Talk to your doctor or dietitian about how vitamin D affects you and how you can maintain healthy levels of this important vitamin. Never take any type of vitamin or nutritional supplement without discussing it with your doctor first.
