Too Much Cola May Cause Kidney Problems

New research by the National Institute of Health (NIH) suggests drinking too much cola may increase the risk of developing chronic kidney disease (CKD). The study compared dietary habits of individuals with CKD and healthy people. The team found drinking two or more colas a day was linked to an increased risk of CKD.

More research is needed, but cola does seem to increase the risk of kidney stones, renal failure and other conditions affecting the kidneys.
