Caffeine Affects Blood Sugar Levels in Type 2 Diabetes

Cutting down on caffeine could help people with the most common form of diabetes have better control of their blood sugar levels. Researchers say caffeine appears to disrupt glucose metabolism in a way that could be harmful to people with type 2 diabetes. 

For people with diabetes, drinking coffee or consuming caffeine in other beverages may make it harder to control glucose.
