How to Dialyze Potatoes and Other Vegetables

Certain vegetables have high potassium content. The following method can be used to lower potassium content in vegetables.

  1. Peel the vegetable and cut into small pieces.
  2. Soak in a large amount of water (one cup of vegetables, use 5 cups of water) for at least four hours or overnight.
  3. Drain the water and rinse the vegetables thoroughly.
  4. Cook in a large pot of water until tender.
  5. Drain the vegetables and prepare as desired.
