Certain vegetables have high potassium content. The following method can be used to lower potassium content in vegetables.
- Peel the vegetable and cut into small pieces.
- Soak in a large amount of water (one cup of vegetables, use 5 cups of water) for at least four hours or overnight.
- Drain the water and rinse the vegetables thoroughly.
- Cook in a large pot of water until tender.
- Drain the vegetables and prepare as desired.
