The Kidney Community Emergency Response (KCER) Coalition urges kidney patients, especially those requiring dialysis to take part in National Emergency Preparedness Week for Kidney Patients. This special week takes place Sept. 22 - Sept. 26 and aims to educate patients and healthcare professionals about properly planning for an emergency or disaster.
Patients and professionals alike are encouraged to educate themselves and others about the emergency three-day diet, toll-free hotline numbers, back-up treatment plans, transportation and more.
