Oral Active Vitamin D May Improve Survival in Hemodialysis Patients

A recent study found an injection of active vitamin D may improve cardiovascular health, infections and mortality in hemodialysis patients. Patients treated with less than one gram of oral active vitamin D had a significant increase in survival compared to patients who were not taking active vitamin D.
