The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) now offers two new resources on the updated ESRD Conditions of Coverage. These resources include a Frequently Asked Questions document that condenses many of the questions end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients may have regarding Medicare coverage, and "Crosswalk", which explains the difference between the new and old conditions.
 
Medicare released its final rule for the ESRD Conditions for Coverage earlier this year. The new regulations will modernize dialysis facilities and promote higher quality of care for dialysis patients. AAKP was instrumental in working to have these new measures put in place.
