AAKP is proud to announce the new members of its National Board of Directors. The AAKP National Board of Directors is responsible for establishing goals and policies for the Association. In addition, they are responsible for attending three meetings per year, which requires travel, participation in conference calls and committee membership.
 
The new 2008-2009 Board members include Brady Augustine, Mansi Mehta, RD, LDN and Cheryl Thaxton-Roache, ARNP-C. These individuals were inducted during the 35th Annual Convention in Washington, D.C.
 
The 2008-2009 officers include: Roberta Wager, RN, MSN, President; Stephen Z. Fadem, MD, FACP, FASN, Vice President; Carolyn G. Price, Vice President; Kelly M. Mayo, MS, Treasurer; Amy Friedman, MD, FACS, Secretary.
 
The remainder of the Board include: Renee Bova-Collis, MSW, LCSW; Richard S. Goldman, MD; Mary Heisick, MSW; Alice McCall, RN; Robert Miller, MD, FAAP, FCCP; Sam Pederson; Thomas Peters, MD, FACS, FASN; Laurie Shore, MSW, LCSW; Joseph D. White; Jay Wish, MD and Yalemzewd Woredekal, MD.
