AAKP's upcoming HealthLine conference call, titled Pain Management for Kidney Patients, focuses on different types of pain experienced by end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and pre-ESRD patients as well as ways to possibly manage those pains. Emphasis will be placed on explaining neuropathy for kidney patients at all stages along with pain associated with dialysis; such as needle sticks and cramping. Information on how to explain pain to your healthcare team and why it is important to communicate your level of pain will also be discussed.
