Results of a new study found a once daily shot of insulin can control blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes just as well as injecting insulin three times a day. Once a day formulas, called insulin glargine and insulin lispro, are already on the market and are taken with meals.
The study found more patient satisfaction with the insulin glarine.
