AAKP has partnered with the Chicago Association of Kidney Patients to host a Kidney Beginnings: Live program and health fair. The program takes place June 19, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., at The Advocate Building, located at 9730 S. Western Ave., Lower Level - Hospitality Room in Evergreen Park, Ill. Attendees have the opportunity to receive complimentary blood pressure and blood glucose screenings, and are provided free educational materials from event exhibitors.
The Kidney Beginnings: Live program aims to teach individuals about proper kidney care, managing conditions that lead to chronic kidney disease (CKD), managing side effects and challenges of CKD, diet management and much more. Programs are FREE and feature presentations by health care professionals.
