AAKP is motoring up to Detroit to host a free, educational program, Kidney Beginnings: Live, on June 21, from
9 a.m. - 12 p.m., at the Marriott Detroit Metro Airport. The program educates individuals about the basics of proper kidney care and kidney disease.
Kidney Beginnings: Live features topics including:
- What the kidney are, what they do and how to care for them;
- Managing conditions that may lead to chronic kidney disease (CKD);
- Side effects and challenges CKD patients face, such as anemia;
- Diet management.
