Talk to Your Family About Kidney Disease

The National Kidney Disease Education Program (NKDEP) is encouraging African American families to talk about health and the risk of developing kidney disease at family reunions.

NKDEP's "Family Reunion Health Guide" outlines three sample approaches for presenting the information. Get the entire "Family Reunion Health Guide," or only download the approach that works best for you. These approaches are only suggestions. Feel free to present the information in a way that's comfortable for you and interesting for your family.

Family reunions are the perfect time to discuss old times, family recipes, ancestors and health.
