A new report from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) states hearing loss is twice as common in adults with diabetes compared to individuals who do not have the disease.
The link between hearing loss and diabetes has been debated since the 1960s. Researchers suggest diabetes may lead to hearing loss by damaging the nerves and blood vessels of the inner ear.
