A study found a positive new trend among diabetic patients in the United States: better blood sugar control. Researchers report it is becoming more common for adult diabetics to have a hemoglobin A1c level lower than seven percent. Hemoglobin A1c gauges blood sugar control over a two to three month period. Better blood sugar control means there is less chance of diabetes complications.
Diabetes is a leading cause of kidney disease.
