Professional Membership

Professional Membership is available to a wide variety of renal professionals, including but not limited to: nurses, dietitians, social workers, etc. Membership allows professionals to experience all the tangible benefits of membership as well as the opportunity to network with professionals, patients and family members during our well-renowned Annual Convention. 

When our patients do well and understand their diet, treatment options, medications and all the facets of kidney disease, they have better overall health outcomes. We believe that your extensive training and expertise assist patients in becoming more knowledgeable and therefore more proactive about their health care.As a Professional Member of the American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP), you can gain assistance with your patient education programs as well as demonstrate your continued commitment to kidney patients. 

Being a patient-driven organization, AAKP prides itself on having the unique perspective of being a patient and all that it involves. This is why AAKP provides the most useful information for kidney patients through our national programs, educational materials and on-line resources.AAKP prides itself on being “The Voice of All Kidney Patients ™.”  By becoming a member at the annual rate of $45, you are adding your voice to the growing consensus that kidney patients deserve the chance to lead productive lives.

The mission of AAKP is to improve the quality of care and quality of life of all kidney patients.  Patients need empowerment through knowledge and information.  As professionals, you cannot provide all the information needed by ourselves. With AAKP’s help, you can achieve our professional goals of having healthy and active kidney patients. Your Professional Membership not only allows AAKP to expand its variety and availability of educational materials, it also expresses your support of the importance of health care education to patients.

For memberships outside of the United States, an additional $30 per year is required.
