Physician Membership is available to any physician and not limited to any particular field of practice. By becoming a Physician Member, you set a key example for patients and fellow colleagues.
The more concerned a patient is about their care, the more likely he is to do well. A good patient outcome, particularly when the problem is challenging, is quite gratifying to the physician. The dilemma is finding enough time to spend educating the patients.
Physicians are encouraged to join AAKP because they can receive first hand the resources their patients will see. Kidney disease affects millions of Americans, and its early management is the most rewarding. But, patient management requires serious lifestyle changes, and necessitates a great deal of encouragement from the health care team. AAKP can help you help your patient.
Your active participation in AAKP is a great way to show your patients with kidney disease that you are taking a major step forward to share in their awareness and well being.
For memberships outside of the United States, an additional $30 per year is required.
