What educational tracks are available during the 2010 AAKP Convention?
AAKP is including three educational tracks during Convention: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD/Pre-dialysis), ESRD (Dialysis) and Transplantation.

What are educational tracks?
Educational tracks during a Convention are a great way to tailor educational sessions to meet the needs of all Convention attendees. Registered attendees can select to participate in any or all of the educational sessions that fit their specific needs (stage of kidney disease and/or treatment option). For example, an individual with risk factors for kidney disease such as diabetes and/or high blood pressure may choose to attend all the educational sessions in the CKD track, while an attendee with a transplant would want to participate in the Transplantation track. All educational sessions in a particular track have been carefully designed to meet the needs of that particular patient.

Do I need to select a specific track when I register for Convention?
No, AAKP does not require attendees to select a track to participate in at any time.

Am I required to attend all the educational sessions in a particular track or can I go to whichever sessions interest me?
AAKP developed educational tracks to provide more specific information on all stages of kidney disease and all treatment options. Attendees are never required to participate in only one track. AAKP encourages you to attend the sessions that would benefit you the most.

I'm a dialysis patient, but want to learn more about transplantation. Do I have to attend all the educational sessions in the ESRD (Dialysis) track or can I attend sessions in both the ESRD (Dialysis) track and Transplantation track? 
AAKP encourages you to attend the educational sessions that you find most interesting and beneficial to your health care. You are never required to attend sessions in only one track.

I'm interested in attending sessions that fall within the ESRD (Dialysis) track, how will I know which sessions those are?
AAKP provides each Convention attendee with an official Convention program book. The program book outlines all the educational sessions. Each session is color-coded to its particular track. For instance, all sessions that are in the ESRD (Dialysis) track are color-coded blue.
