AAKP has 12 chapters nationwide, led by volunteers. AAKP Chapters provide a valuable service to patients by acting as a local resource for education and support.Many Chapters hold educational seminars, social functions and support group meetings. Chapters also produce newsletters highlighting local and national activities. Membership in AAKP includes membership in the local Chapter, where available. Through its Chapters, AAKP aims to fulfill its mission of improving the lives of fellow kidney patients and their families by helping them deal with the physical, emotional and social impact of kidney disease.
