Fun Recipes!

Here are a few recipes sure to make your child smile. Have fun tonight and make these snacks together.

 Marshmallow Popcorn Balls

Ingredients:

12 cups popped corn

6 Tbsp. unsalted butter

3 cups tiny marshmallows

½ of a 3 oz. package of raspabery

Flavored gelatin (or any other flavor)    

Keep popcorn warm in a 225 degree oven. Melt the butter and marshmallows over medium heat. Stir until completely melted. Blend in gelatin. Pour over popcorn. With buttered hands, form into balls. Makes 12-3” balls.

Outer-Space Candy

Ingredients:

12 oz. package of butterscotch chips

½ of 6 oz. package of Chow Mein noodles

Melt butterscotch chips in double boiler over boiling water. Stir constantly until smooth. Add noodles. Stir carefully until well mixed. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet. Cool. Makes approximately 24 pieces

Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:

½ cup unsalted margarine

2 squares of unsweetened chocolate

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

¾ cup all purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8x8x2 inch baking pan. Melt margarine and chocolate together. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat lightly until well blended. Do not over-beat. Stir in flour, spread batter in pan and bake for 30 minutes. Cool.
