Medicare Announces New Anemia Management Strategy for Dialysis Patients

On Nov. 9, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced new national strategy to monitor claims for drugs epoetin alfa (Epogen®) and darbepoetin alfa (Aranesp®) for anemia management in ESRD patients who are dialyzed in renal facilities.
