AAKP's Board of Directors is comprised of dialysis patients, transplant recipients, chronic kidney disease patients, as well as healthcare professionals and members of the public concerned with kidney failure. It is AAKP's policy that more than 50 percent of its Board are kidney disease patients, and its President must be a patient.
